Hey everyone! I am interesting in renting a 1 or 2 bedroom furnished vacation home/apartment/condo in Melbourne. I have only found a few listings…and most of them are 3 or 4 bedrooms and $8000 a month…way too much room and way too pricey. I’m looking to spend no more than $4000 per month, and I definitely don’t need that much room. Can anyone give me some ideas of websites or rental agencies that could help me? Thanks for the info!

I currently live in a small apartment in a big city. I’ve just graduated from college, and I have been conducting a job search. I’ve been centering my search around my home state in the Midwest, and the best prospects that I have (as a teacher) are in the more rural areas. Since I’m a young professional, just out of college, I obviously can’t afford to put a down payment on a home, so I need to rent (maybe a house, a condo, or a good-sized apartment). But it’s very difficult to find listings for these rural areas. Any suggestions on how I may go about my search? Thanks.

A few months ago while scanning through the craigslist rentals postings, I stumbled upon a website called Homes Advance. From their website, one could become a member and receive listings of homes that are about to foreclose. How this site is supposed to work is that the homeowner cannot pay the past-due mortgage payments and cannot sell the home (for whatever reason), so someone like myself (who doesn’t have the money or credit score to get into a home on my own) can step in and make the past due payments and basically rent-to-own the home. So I paid $299 to "enroll". I received my "Welcome Package" which was a listings of homes. What they recommended was that I make a list of the top 10 properties I was interested in and submit them back to the company to provide me further information (ie liens, other judgements) and get me in contact with the owners. After several emails and phone calls have gone unanswered, I feel as if I’ve been scammed. Also, the website disappeared. Help me!
All the contact information I have is no good. When I spoke with someone initially, they said they have no branch offices and they do all their business online or over the phone. How would I go about suing? And since I paid $299, how much could I sue them for?

I am sorry to say this but u have been scammed, what i would do is sue the pants off those losers and get ur cash back.

I was searching for apartments in Baton Rouge, LA. I seen like 20 apartment listings all by the same real estate companies. They are listed from $85 – $150 a month. These apartments are really nice! This is too good to be true. Can anyone tell me if they really are that inexpensive to rent each month. Is there some kind of thing to pull you in? I was thinking since it said it was Corporate Apartments that may mean it’s temporary housing for business people. Someone please help! Tell me if this is for real.
